About BIGH

The Burkina Institute of Global Health (BIGH) is a non-governmental, non-profit research organization based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. BIGH is composed of a diverse team of scientists with extensive expertise in areas such as the assessment of vaccine-preventable disease burden, Implementation of health and population surveillance systems and research on the implementation of health interventions. The BIGH team also has proven expertise in clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice and in-the-field efficacy studies for a range of diseases, including poverty-related diseases, neglected tropical diseases, Emerging and re-emerging diseases and non-communicable diseases.
BIGH attaches great importance to the effective engagement of stakeholders throughout the implementation of its projects. The objective of BIGH is to produce high quality data that meets local requirements, study protocols and related procedures, as well as international standards, while delivering results in a timely manner to have an impact on global health.
